Perumal Magayson is both a practitioner and an educator in the logistics field. He is presently the CEO and Principal Consultant of Logislink Consultants which is a Supply Chain Management consulting practice. He is the Technical Consultant with In-Train Services in New South Wales, Australia providing consultancy on logistics competency and performance measurement to the Engineering Division of the Australian Armed Forces. In addition, he is the Principal of PMC School of Logistics which provides courses in certificate, diploma, undergraduate and post-graduate levels in logistics management awarded and accredited by TAFE, Australian and New Zealand universities.
He has developed courses endorsed by International Enterprise (TDB) for the Strategic Manpower Conversion Program and developed curriculum in Logistics for TAFE awards. He is also an adjunct teaching fellow of School of Engineering and Science, Swinburne University of Technology for the post-graduate and an Adjunct lecturer with the Faculty of Business, University of Southern Queensland. He is also a visiting lecturer with Burapah University in Chon Buri, Thailand at the School of Engineering Management. He is a qualified teachers trainer from Western Australian TAFE.
He has more than 20 years of working experience in the logistics industry. His experience include military logistics management in the Singapore Armed Forces for six years in the capacity of a specialist staff officer; air and sea freight management in the freight industry for eight years and regional logistics management in senior management position with MNC corporations.
He has also assisted clients to improve their supply chain management and develop the integrated logistics systems, reduce stock levels, improve the purchasing and inventory management performance and enhance customer service standards. He has given lectures on logistics management, warehousing, purchasing, distribution, customer service and strategic planning; held seminars in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Oman and Singapore; and conducted in-company training programmes in logistics management, customer service and supply chain management.
He holds a Masters of Business in Logistics Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and is a Member of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Logistics Consulting Group, The Institute of Logistics (UK) as well as the Chartered Institute of Transport. He is also an Associate of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. Currently, Logislink Consultants are approved certification authority for courses and have been appointed consultants for the On-the-job training for industries by the Productivity and Standards Board, Singapore..
