What is the Course about?
This
course provides the learners with the knowledge of the fundamentals of
Logistics Management. It covers the areas in basic logistics, warehouse,
transport and distribution. Interface of the logistics function in an

phpects of Logistics.

programme.

Upon
successful completion and on the award in Certificate in Logistics
Management, graduates are admitted into the Diploma in Logistics

Units Offered
Unit 3100 Business Logistics
The
purpose of this module is to provide learners with a comprehensive
knowledge of the principles of logistics and an introduction to methods
of logistics management.
Unit 3200 Distribution Management
The
purpose of this module is to provide learners with a comprehensive
knowledge of the scope, characteristics and regulatory framework of a
distribution system.
Unit 3300 Transport Management
To
provide competency based training in the management of transportation in
relevant units of Competency Standards. This module is suitable for
learners currently employed within the purchasing/procurement or
transport management field who wish to acquire up-to-date knowledge of
transport management systems.
Unit 3400 Warehousing Management
To
provide competency based training in the management of warehousing in
relevant units of Competency Standards. This module is suitable for
learners currently employed within the purchasing/procurement or
warehousing or inventory management field who wish to acquire up-to-date
knowledge of warehousing management systems.
